WESTONBIRT ARBORETUM
Now that we're starting to find our feet with this whole parenting thing (well kind of..), we decided to venture out with baby girl. So this past Saturday, instead of having visitors (which we've loved!) or staying cooped up indoors, we spent the afternoon at Westonbirt Arboretum. We used to drive past it everyday before on the way to work and I swear everyday I would tell Mark how much I wanted to visit!
We couldn't have picked a better day, the weather was so good! It was cool, crisp and sunny and probably our last autumn day before winter kicks in. We ventured out for coffee first from this local place Mark has been talking about then drove out to Westonbirt. The drive was just as lovely as the arboretum, the Cotswolds is a really special place to live.
We're learning to have a lot of patience when it comes to going out with baby girl. Long gone are the days we can just get up and go! Just as we were getting out of the car, Rosie needed changed and a bottle so we spent the first half hour in the car caring for her and making sure she had everything she needed before we set off. After that she slept the whole walk! All snuggled up in her snowsuit and inside the baby carrier.
It felt so good to be outside and I felt so content with my lovely baby strapped to my chest and my guy by my side.
If this is what life is like from now on, I'll be one very grateful, happy lady.
